General objectives for students in logic and philosophy are –

This study of philosophy in this area gives students the skills to-

1. Understand the use of argument, evaluation, analysis, logic and evidence
2. Defend against error, manipulation and prejudice.
3. Confront logical errors and devise defensible answers to those questions that define the domain of logic and the philosophy language.
4. Determine what we are logically justified in believing to be true relative to the assumptions that guide our thinking.
